Short Summary:
The 2024 report, covering 156 countries from all regions and subregions of the world,presents an analysis of the patterns, flows and trends of trafficking in the aftermath of the global Covid-19 pandemic. The Report includes one thematic chapter analysing trafficking in persons trends and patterns in Africa. It also includes special sections on the trafficking for forced criminality into online scams in Southeast Asia; an analysis of the trafficking risks connected with migrants and smuggling routes in Africa; and the experiences of civil society organizations in assisting the victims of trafficking. The main findings are accompanied by detailed suggestions for policymakers to use to help formulate effective responses.
